Yürüyüş Güzergâhlarında Mekânsal-Görsel Niteliklerin Algı ve Aktivite Üzerindeki Etkileri; Nevşehir Örneği

Year 2018, Volume: 20 Issue: 1, 32 - 42, 16.04.2018

Abstract

The Effects of Spatial-Visual Features in Walking Roads on Perception and Activity; Sample of Nevsehir

Year 2018, Volume: 20 Issue: 1, 32 - 42, 16.04.2018

Abstract

Today, the correct designing of an urban area in terms
of pedestrian usage is a field that should be considered in terms of the urban
green area and landscape design as well as the health of the city people,
directly and indirectly. Although the urban centers are very restricted due to
the current development situation, it is possible to give a direction towards
urban texture by creating sample neighborhood areas in terms of ecological and
sociological terms. In this study; The 80th Year Avenue in Nevşehir city
Guzelyurt District, which attracted attention with its aesthetic and functional
value in terms of settlement structure of the city and its neighborhood, was
chosen as the study area. The walking route with a length of 1,87 km was
evaluated in terms of pedestrian usage, the uses on it and their effects on the
identity of the road were determined and the landscape qualities of the route
were determined. For this purpose, space analysis and visual analysis were
carried out. User evaluations were determined surveys and suggestions and
evaluations were made.According to spatial analysis; the qualifications on the basis of
pedestrian / traffic safety and pedestrian standards are mostly negative. According
to the questionnaires; the road is walkable but it is inadequate about bicycle
and traffic safety. In addition, the plant design of the route determines the
linear effect of the path, has become a very distinct perception element.
