Romatoid Artritte Pulmoner Fizyoterapi

Öz

Romatoid artrit (RA), primer olarak simetrik poliartrit ve eroziv sinovitle karakterize, eklem ve eklem dışı bulgularla seyreden ve yaşam kalitesini etkileyen kronik, sistemik inflamatuar bir hastalıktır. En önemli bulguları eklemlerde ağrı, şişlik ve hareket kısıtlılığı olan RA’ da, akciğer tutulumu en sık görülen eklem dışı bulgudur. Morbitide ve mortaliteyi önemli ölçüde etkileyen pulmoner tutulum, farklı şiddette inflamasyon ve fibrozis ile akciğerlerin tüm yapısını etkileyebilir. RA’ da, plevral hastalık, pulmoner hipertansiyon, interstisiyel fibrozis, nodüler akciğer hastalığı, bronşiolit ve küçük hava yolları hastalıkları gibi çeşitli pulmoner sistem hastalıkları görülebilir. RA tanılı bireylerin tedavisine entegre edilebilen, kanıta dayalı, multidisipliner, kapsamlı bir yaklaşım olan pulmoner fizyoterapi uygulamaları ile semptomların azaltılması, fonksiyonel durumun optimize edilmesi, sağlık harcamalarının azaltılması ve fiziksel aktivite ile yaşam kalitesinin artırılması hedeflenmektedir. Bu yazıda, RA tanılı bireylerde uygulanan pulmoner fizyoterapi yöntemleri hakkında bilgi verilmesi amaçlanmıştır.
