Pandemi Sonrası Evin Anlamı

Öz

Ev kavramı, geçmişten günümüze yaşanan gelişmelere paralel olarak önemli değişim ve dönüşümlere uğramıştır. Eskiden sadece barınma yeri olarak görülen ev, bugün bireylerin yaşamlarını organize ettiği çok katmanlı bir platforma dönüşmüştür. İletişim teknolojilerindeki ilerlemeler, iş dünyasındaki değişimler ve yaşanan pandemi dönemi ile ev sosyal ilişkilerin, kültürel bağlamın, çalışma düzeninin ve teknolojinin entegre edildiği gerçek ve sanal dünyanın bir mekanına dönüşmüştür. Bu bağlamda, çalışmanın temel amacı, günümüzde eve yüklenen anlamları ortaya koyarak, bu değişimin nedenlerini ve etkenlerini kuramsal olarak tartışmaktır. Anket çalışması, Türkiye genelinde 549 kişiyle gerçekleştirilmiş ve katılımcılardan evi bir metaforla ilişkilendirmeleri istenmiştir. Elde edilen veriler içerik analiz yöntemi ile analiz edilerek alt gruplara ayrılmıştır. Metafor 10 grupta toplanırken, sebep kısmı zaman, birey, performans ve duygu olmak üzere 4 grupta toplanmıştır. Eve bakış açısı, katılımcının cinsiyet, yaşadığı bölge, çalışma durumu ve eğitim düzeyine göre farklılık göstermektedir. Günümüz yaşam koşullarında, eve yüklenen anlam çeşitliliğinin artmasına rağmen, evin temel anlamını koruduğu çalışma ile ortaya konmuştur.

Öz

The concept of home has undergone significant changes and transformations parallel to the developments experienced from the past to the present. Formerly perceived simply as a place of shelter, today, the home has evolved into a multi-layered platform where individuals organize their lives. Advancements in communication technologies, changes in the business world, and the period of the pandemic have turned the home into a space where social relationships, cultural context, work routines, and technology are integrated into both the real and virtual worlds. In this context, the main purpose of the study is to theoretically discuss the reasons and factors behind this change by revealing the meanings attributed to the home in the present day. A survey was conducted with 549 participants across Turkey, asking them to associate the home with a metaphor. The data obtained were analyzed using content analysis, and grouped into subcategories. While the metaphors were categorized into 10 groups, the reasons were grouped into four categories: time, individual, performance, and emotion. Participants' perspectives on the home vary according to gender, region of residence, employment status, and educational level. Despite the increasing diversity of meanings attributed to the home in today's living conditions, the study concludes that the home maintains its fundamental meaning.
